Co-creation in the Strategic Renewal of Public Agencies in Europe

The book presents a coherent and accessible compilation of the many findings produced in the large scale Horizon 2020 COGOV project – Co-Production and Co-Governance: Strategic Management, Public Value and Co-Creation in the Renewal of Public Agencies across Europe. Building on the final project report and other outputs, the book provides an overview of the field of co-creation, as well as broader public service reform, in a single, easily accessible volume. Co-creation and strategic management are complex concepts that can be approached in various productive ways, with different definitions and operationalisations. In this book, we adopt a broad understanding of cocreation as state-society arrangements that foster collaboration, partnership, and participation in policymaking, in a broad sense.
