Andreja Pegan
Assistant Professor, Faculty of Management, University of Primorska
I am a political scientist specialising in comparative research on public sector reform, public communication, and regional development within the European Union. My work explores how institutions design and communicate strategy — from EU Cohesion Policy to the inner workings of the European Parliament.
I hold a PhD in Political Science, with a dissertation examining legislative staff in the European Parliament. Since then, my research has taken me through postdoctoral positions at the Brexit Institute (Dublin City University) and the University of Northumbria, before joining the Faculty of Management at the University of Primorska in Koper, Slovenia.
My recent work looks at leadership in EU institutions, strategic planning in public communication, and the practical realities of implementing Cohesion Policy on the ground. I’ve contributed to several EU-funded research projects, including COHESIFY, which examined how citizens engage with and perceive EU funding.
